Tuscia is a land of wonderful nature and art, but it is still unknown and uncontaminated. You can explore the area in a very relaxing way and without feeling like a typical tourist. You can decide to spend your free time visiting the beauties of the area, such as Civita the dying city, close to Orvieto, which in the Middle Ages held this territory in its grip.

In an area of 40 km you can discover the archaeological sites of the Etruscan (pre-Roman) culture, admire the wonderful palaces of the Italian Renaissance that the Farnese have left in every village in the area, visit castles, or decide to spend a relaxing day in the nearby thermal baths. The nearby sea and Lake Bolsena with their fascinating beaches will offer numerous possibilities for an enchanting holiday.

Civita di Bagnoregio

Visiting Civita di Bagnoregio is certainly one of the most exciting experiences that can be done in the Tuscia area. The beauty of Civita, known as “the dying city”, makes this small town in the Viterbo area a popular destination for national and international tourism.

Orvieto

Orvieto, a city with a historical and artistic heritage, in some respects, unique in Umbria of its kind. A “museum” city that has lived through different historical eras, some of which as a great protagonist: in particular in the Etruscan and medieval times, representing a center of considerable historical and cultural importance throughout Italy.

Pitigliano

Sorano & Sovana

The municipal territory of Sorano extends in the eastern part of the Tufo area. It borders to the north with the municipality of Castell’Azzara, to the east with the Lazio municipalities of Acquapendente, Proceno, Onano and Latera, to the south with the municipality of Pitigliano, to the west with the municipalities of Manciano and Semproniano.

Capodimonte

Capodimonte, located on the picturesque promontory that juts out into the lake, is an enchanting tourist center on Lake Bolsena. It rises at 334 m a.s.l. on a small picturesque peninsula on the southwestern shore and is 25 km NW from the capital Viterbo.

Bolsena Lake

Lake Bolsena, fifth in size in Italy, is located in upper Lazio, on the border with Umbria and Tuscany, in the main caldera of the Vulsinio volcanic complex.
